wow! thats awesome. what a find. if i had a spare $5 id pick that up straight away and then get me a 535 for the missus.
Q. can an engine be affected by just sitting about for all those years in a crate without being turned every now and then?

condensation=corrosionIts a older, emissions controlled high comp euro M30- probably a replacement for e23 M735, e24 M635 or e28 M535. Not an M motor or anything, just a stock M30 like manhy of us have. I'd much prefer a B35 personally.
The vendor needs to state wtf it is- at least which manifold and cam. It might even be a 3.2; it is not necessarily a 3.5. I haven't checked the numbers but for $5k you'd want to know as Kristian said, you can get a whole car for that. I'd really prefer to put an M60 car in the back shed for that much money. Some people are blowing out of their preverbials on BMW parts prices in Australia... :)
