Well, the funbird finally let us down. The car was a freebie and gets driven in the winter when the e34 is sleeping.

Anyhow, the problem is:

One or more leaky brake lines. I've located the general vicinity of the offending leak, but since all the lines are bunched together and wet, it will be difficult to determine which is the culprit.

Is there a way to tell which corner is leaking? I haven't had a helper yet, so haven't been able to watch for a leak while the pedal is depressed.

Thought someone might have a trick up their sleeve.

Thanks again,

Dave M

Are we talking steel lines all run together, the fuel and brakes lines?

If one line is rusted out in the bundle, the others are probably ready to go to. I always just replace all the steel lines at the same time when they are bunched together.

Yep, steel lines that run very tight together at one point have all become corroded. It has crossed my mind to replace them all, maybe I should just bite the bullet.

Thanks
