540i TPS testing

I seem to have lost my Bentleys somewhere.

My check engine, trans program and AST light all came on at once. Stomp test will not give codes (not sure it works on mine anyway).

If someone could post the check proceedure for the TPS and any other likely cause of my symptoms I would greatly appreciate it.

How do you know its TPS ? Trans Program has many other more likely causes. 1st step is to reset the codes, then let the fault happen and re-read. In my case it was low trans fluid, in others' case it's been trans speed sensor, or a loose connection or a new eprom for the TCU, or a trans solenoid (amongst other things).
