The dealer had replaced one of the converters before the 8 year/80K mile warranty expired. Now the second one failed - and it is 2 months past the 8 year mark! Any suggestions? I understand that it was a government regulation to extend the Catalytic coverage to 8/80 - past the regular warranty. Anyone know what agency mandated this? It's a shame to pay so much for this repair - BMW of No. America had refused to assist in this matter over the phone...
