Missing Amp?

Hey everyone,

I have an E34 520i (UK car), did the amp come as an optional extra with these cars? I can't find one in the boot and I only seem to have 4 speakers? Which is great news to me as I want to upgrade everything audio wise, so I won't have the hassle of removing amps and all that. But was just wondering if my car has been hacked about with already or if the original owners just didn't spec the amp.

This is the first BMW I've owned so know nothing about them!

You should go to your BMW dealer and ask them for a print out of the option list based on your VIN. Maybe the audio was different in the U.K. than in other countries.
For example my E32 came from Germany to BMW Japan without any audio equipment, it just says prepared for audio equipment, which means the antenna in the rear window, the antenna amplifier behind the C-pillar and some other things. But the audio equipment was specially made for BMW Japan by Sony.
