part number for guido e34 m20 aut, trans

Anyone know the part number for the guibo for a 1988 525i e34 m20 4hp22 autotranny.

Talked to dealer, who ment that that model didnt use a guibo. he said that aut tranny models doesnt use guibo, only manual stick does...

I am very confident that it does.

Can anyone post me the part number so i can prove that the dealer is wrong or not :-)

88 production, European model m20 automatic, It has no guibo, neither does the US version 88,89 525 automatic.

89 & up use flex disc according to what I have. Check at realoem to be sure or crawl under and look.

I think he is right... auto's dont have a guibo. Use real oem .com, enter in the last 7 of your vin and you will see.

m20 motor and the zf auto transmission don't have a guibo. 90 and up 525 with the m50 motor and the GM strassbourg auto transmission do have a guibo.

last 7 of my VIN is 3515175

My say the reason for me to ask for guibo is that i got kicked in my back everytime my auto shifts from 2 to 1 gear. I ordered some new driveshaft bearings. Lets see if that solves the problem.

Forgive me for stating the obvious... but woudn't it be easiest and most accurate to just look under your car?

Have you checked the fluid level in the tranny?

i will have a look.. tranny is gonna be replaced anyway.. it takes a lot of rpm without getting the speed... feels like some clutch failure.. last 2 weeks it have been slippering when taking of from idle
