This car has been for sale for over a year--at least the guy is admitting salvage title now--it was on cars.com and autotrader.com for a LONG time with "Perfect condition, no issues" in the descriptions. I could care less if it has a rebuilt motor, etc, etc--the paint looks $hit from 15 feet, it has a salvage title [flood? major accident anyone?] and the guy wants low mileage nice car money for it. I wouldn't spend more than $6000 for that car, quite possibly less, and only, only only if I wanted to drive it until the car exploded.

He wouldnt go down on the price, I didnt want the hassle to insure a salvaged car and it was priced above my budget.

That's a trick employed in the UK. "Oh it needs regassing" rather than "the evaporator has rotted out" which is usually the truth. I tell the seller to re-gas and prove it before my money is on the table.

the guys on m5board ripped this car apart. they know the entire history and none of them will go near it for even 10k. apparently it was pretty badly damaged and the "build up" wasn't that great. and isn't 23894723423 air fresheners a strong sign of a heater core replacement in need?
