Okay so I can't answer any questions because it's not my turbo, but it's Dave's turbo ;) All those zip ties make it more understated that it looks, sounds or feels.

I think the open intercooler looks tacky but if there was a nice slotted cover/grille something it would look a little better imo.

Either way, looks purrty.

I like the Porsche 'turbo'

It is the heat exchanger for the water-to-air intercooler. I am wondering when dave went to the TCDS2 if he discountinued the use of the Perfect Power Piggyback ?

Thats the heat exchanger.

WOW that dude has BAD oil burning issues. Either his turbo seals are gone due to poor oil drain or his rings or valve seals/guides are SHOT. Thats blue smoke - that ain't fuel.

I was thinking the same thing.
Smoke
Blue=oil
Black=fuel
White=Water

Those look like Mille Miglia MM11's in the 2nd pic.

You probably won't get a pic of the actual turbo - the TCD kit sits the turbo waaaay down under everything and basically is only viewable from the bottom of the car... in perfect sunlight... on a 62 degree day.... no wind....you get the idea.

Nice, any idea of the power output?

Is the intercooler in the first pic an old design? On their website a different intercooler design is given

Not sure - every TCD air/water I have seen has been the silver intercooler.

It may be the e28 intercooler?

Dave is packing major power in his car... I had the chance to drive it a couple of times and that will be a future project as soon as I find a 5 series wagon hehehe.

But having a turbo car of this caliber means that you wrench often and tweak often also....
