I finished installing all four KYB shocks/struts on the 530i last night. The front were done last week and I had a setback on the rears due to me crossthreading the shaft threads on one. That's what I get for trying to rush the last shock by resorting to an impact wrench. (I have pics if requested)
I mated them to Eibachs and contrary to what was said in one of the guides out there, they do not "Kick Your Butt". :) They're quite sporty but smooth at the same time.
I thought with the Eibachs I would get a 1" drop in the rear but I don't notice a drop at all except in the front. No problem though. I'm happy.
I would love to show you guys all the dog hair, dirt, and dog food I found under the seats as I removed the rear shock mounts. The previous owner kept the car clean but you can tell a dog must have lived in the back.
