booooooooo the K&N!!!! nice looking exhaust, real nice black tails, are they Hella or did you do them yourself? oh, and the red roundels are hot! :)

yeah bought the clear tails then smoked them at a local shop.

what do you think i shoulda got instead of the k&n?

they had like a carbonfibre and a silver one but they told me k&n would be the best out of those 3?

k/n doesn't actually do anything, it actually takes away 1-2hp. sounds good, but it also allows dirt, leaves, dead birds, frogs, etc in. for all intensive purposes you can't beat the stock filter. with the k/n you'll need to stay on the maintenence of it moreso than the stock.

yeah i know the filter drops hp, by like almost ten cuz it gets all the hot air, but i just wanted to get a better sound out of it, how often should i clean it, how do i clean it ?, sorry first after market intake

What difference did the K+N filter make to engine noise?
And what does it change about the exhaust note? have you tried it all with and without?

Well, it will make the engine sound "louder", not sure about actually changing the exhaust note? I had a K&N on my '02 M3 and it changed the sound of the engine.. Of course, the perception will be that it changes the exhaust note as well..:p

I got a K&N and it makes a high-pitched noise almost like a quiet turbo at higher (4000+ rpm)... it's weird.

i love the noise though... i find myself toying with my rpm's to make it make that sound

wow your car is clean and gorgeous! love the taillights...now what kind of exhaust is this? please don't tell me you went out to the local auto parts store and bought a ricer muffler and it sounds like a pissed off bumble bee. i know with that hooker muffler it definitally sounded like a v8, very throaty.

its a magnaflow muffler, the euro shop manufacture the tips themselves!

how much did the exhaust run you? I think that's going to be my next upgrade. Maybe smoked tails now too. :-P

400 for the the whole muffler with all the piping , and the tips welded and everything else is welded on...smoked tails wer 60 for the clears and 120 for all 4 pieces smoked and clear coated!
