I noticed the narrow temp. range for checking Auto. Trans. fluid level on the A4S 310R tranny in my '93 525.
The Pelican Parts page mentions using a regular "human" thermometer on the pan.
I thought....Why can't I use a super-accurate, no-contact, laser temp. gun?
I have one in the shop.
Sound logical?
Shooting it at the pan should give me a reasonably accurate temp. reading for checking level per BMW/Bentley instructions.
Thanks!
