My wife wrecked my 95 540i. Body shop cant get the correct front bumper for my car. They seem to be getting just the standard E34 bumper (twice) and not the 540i bumper with the lip extensions that serve as brake ducts. How can I find the correct part numbers? I thought Pacific had a parts search but could'nt locate it. ANY help would be greatly appreciated !!!!!! Been out of the buisness for a long time and have lost all my contacts.
Thanks
John

One place, BMW. All you need is your VIN. Also, try www.bmaparts.com. If not try the many autodismantlers near you. Bavarian BMW, Vines Automotive. These are hard to find but not impossible. Or you can get an M5 bumper it has add-ons down there- or maybe the vents fit on any bumper. Best check on the online ETK (www.realoem.com) to see.

JCL540i; You live in USA? And have a 1995 540i? Then your car is without brake ducts (if it's a US car) but if you want Euro bumper or the M-package bumper here they are;
Order nr; 51118156516 Standard bumper with brake ducts... http://www.autopower.se/galleriet/galleribilder/00039077_41349_S6.jpg
Order nr; 51112231634 M-Technic front bumper... http://www.autopower.se/galleriet/galleribilder/00040262_40774_S6.jpg

JCL540i; The M will fit right away, the fogs are the same.
Some other small items are special... http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HE53&mospid=47410&btnr=51_0639&hg=51&fg=15
The side bumper strips are like the older cars (smooth) not with grains like standard 525i/530i/540i cars model year 1995, so if you want it perfect change them to smooth.
Regards Stephan
Ps; The black car is a Euro M-pack with M bumper also in the back... http://www.autopower.se/galleriet/galleribilder/00037446_40774_S6.jpg

I think the brake ducts were standard on the 94 540i, not so sure about the 95s. However, I think they are "added" to the standard bumper by cutting out a portion of the lower bumper and attatching with proper brackets.
Do a search on this board. Several people have added them. Realoem as others have said can provide the correct part numbers.

when I wrecked I just got an M Bumper.. You should try and get that if they cant get the 540i bumper. I think the only difference is the M5 has break ducts.
