View Full Version : Oil Service Indicator/Yellow
Is this indicator triggered by the Odometer? I changed my oil a few weeks ago before this warning began to appear. Is there anything other than draining old oil, refilling with new oil, replacing old filter which required attention? How do i tell the car its had its oil service?

Yeah, all you have to do is ground it out in a certain pin for 5 seconds or something. My buddy did it for me and we just used a piece of speaker wire and grounded it in the engine bay.

How can Jehu be a big, big time poster without knowing the service indicator reset trick? There must be something wrong with this board's service indicator ;-)

Maybe he is only a big big time poster and not a big big time thread reader :D
I had a local BMW Dealership do it for me free today.

Wouldn't a bent piece of coathangar wire work just as well?

I allways take a speaker wire and put it 7 and 19.
19 is the same as ground.
3 seconds for oil
12 seconds for Inspection 2
2x12 seconds for the year inspection
