i have a set of bmw m wheels off of my nephews 1995 m3. i am thinking of mounting them on my 1995 540i/a. i was told i need 20mm spacers. how will the spacers affect hte bearings & is there any other problems related to using the spacers.
thanks

A 20mm spacer will reduce the offset of that E36 wheel to ~20mm which is the correct offset for the 540i, so it will not cause extra strain on the wheel bearings.
Don't forget the longer 50mm wheel bolts too.

Worked great for me, I had 20 MM H&Rs and lugbolts to fit a set of e36 staggered M3 rims, I drove about 7K no problems. Would I do it again? If the price is right on the rims, I paid 350 for rims and tires so I couldnt pass on them, Definitely unique
