Hey guys. I was just looking around and some euro plates caught my eye. I just wanted to hear what my fellow e34 people thought, euro plate or no plate? Both are illegal here, so thats not a concern. Will the euro plate make the front end too busy? Is it frowned upon by the bimmer purists?

And if euro plate, what should I get on it???

No plate. A euro plate will attract the attention of the pigs and give them a reason to pull you over and issue a citation.

Agreed. If you have no laws against plates (like me) go for the euro ONLY if you get the euro plate trim as well.

I have both the plate filler and the euro plate and I prefer the euro plate. You are required to have both plates in NJ, so I also run the risk of a ticket.

Yeah, im not really too concerned about the legality of it, im just going strictly on looks. I have other things that already attract attention, so this is just adding one more to the list. So i should get the frame as well?

I voted for the Euro plate, obviously this only matters if it's legal in your state to do so.

In Victoria Australia where I live (and in many other states here), there is an option to legally have your licence plate issued in an euro-style -- I have been saying for months that I am going to get a set of these for my E34, but I keep putting it off and the credit card bill at the moment is a bit high :S

Also, if your going the euro plate route, get the euro plate bracket, mine looks retarded in the U.S. location. Most dealers will have to order the part bec. they don't stock it.

I think the euro plate looks good only on the wide grill e34. But on the narrow grill, I'de go with the license plate delete.

Rego came due last week so went with NSW Euro plates (sig pic will be updated when i figure out how to...)
Hit the hip pocket for AU$190 (around US$145) just for the plates, they look better than the ugly yellow standard plates though...:)

That's the crap thing about NSW registration, you have to pay a yearly fee to keep them.

In Victoria, it's a once-off fee and you can keep them for as long as you like.
