Just read over at firstfives that this was an option on some middle eastern e12/28s. Apart from a cold air intake, would this provide much HP gain as can be had from an LPG conversion or a pod filter?
Seriously tho, has anyone ever seen this item???

they put fuel coolers on most 1987 and some 1988 bmws over here, it's just a little bulge with a couple nipples in the low pressure side of the ac for the return side of the fuel system iirc

There are actually aftermarket units available that "chill" fuel with nitrous oxide... drag cars run it sometimes.
