Apex, NC-site of a chemical waste treatment facility fire last Thursday. I had to evacuate my family and pet as well, due to the unknown nature of what was in the gas "plume". The 525 stayed nestled in the garage, but the 318 was directly exposed to whatever chemicals were present...:(
We're back home now, and almost back to normal, but it has raised the public's curiosity as to what industries are around them. This event occurred within 1.5 miles of the heart of our downtown, affecting 18,000 people almost immediately. Amazingly, there were no major immediate injuries. We'll see what the long-term effects are of all those weird chemicals burning up and coming down as rain fell.
