wiring to the coolant temp sensor...is the brown/red or brown/orange wire the negative?
also am i correct: there are two coolant temp sensors, one for the computer, and one for the gauge?

Hmm that's a good question! That's the temp sensor for the ECU that you're looking at. The other sensor is the one for the dash cluster. BROWN/RED connects directly to the ECU (pin 78). There is no BROWN/ORANGE shown on the diagram that I have, instead it shows BROWN/BLACK which connects to the throttle pot BROWN wire. Use a multimeter to double-check that BROWN/ORANGE wire of yours, just in case it is not directly connected to earth.
