i ordered a rebuilt 5hp30 from kirtkoeller. i'm anxious to see what a difference it makes with how the car performs. i have been experiencing lack of power & a rough feeling at idle & low rpm's. 2 tech's are both telling me it's the torque converter, the car does not roll down hill on it's own in nuetral & it has started shifting rough. then on saturday it through the second trans program error since february. i hope this fixes the feeling of lack of power. after all it is a 540i/a. my brother's 1996 integra (1.8l) keeps up no problem w/ no mods.
i put it off swapping tranny's as long as i could but i don't trust it any more. the tranny should be installed by thursday. we are also installing a new flex disk & rear mounts at the same time.
anxious & can't wait!

Yes.... since it is a new rebuild... clean... and no Shell crap... Esso is wise choice.

The A5S 310Z also called the ZF5HP18 right? Would a ZF5HP30 work w/o mods?
