If the coolant capacity is 10.5 liters (for the M50) according to Bentley, then why did I only drain 2 gallons (7.5 liters) and only fill 2 gallons? I had no problems with coolant level over the past 2 years, and even Bruno's site says you only need to buy 1 gallon of the stuff.
What gives?

did the new coolant begin to flow out of the block drain before you capped it? if not, there's still flush water or old coolant in there, that's why i don't like the g-05, as its clear, and doesn't lend itself well to id'ing when it has begun to fill.

Per the Bentley, I capped the block plug before filling with new coolant.
So there's probably a little old coolant flowing around in there. Fine by me...

Of course , i never took off the engine block screw but i tried to get a much out as possible without the mess. I think i did a good job .
Took about 2 gallons to fill back up (with all the bleeding)
