I am wondering if theres a specific item that was supposed to be placed here? This is how it was when I bought the car, and it had this nasty hole...what could have been here? Any ideas?

yea i was thinking that also, though id liek to maybe craft a cutom holder for my treo in there and run a external antenna or power wires through the "nasty hole"

Phone. When I pulled my center console (with a bigger hole than that) the clipped phone wiring was right there in place.

haha replace it with.....? hmm do you think it would be easy to craft some type of phone holder or sumthin....?

Perhaps a cassete tray holder was there before yo get the car

...the original phone but I use mine for cupholders. Also a cassette tray was an option years ago. I also have a custom coin tray ($0.99 from the dollar store) that I use in there.
