The vents on the back end of the center console blow cool air, even when the rest of the vents are blowing toasty warm air. What might be my problem?

That's normal operation. Those are fresh air vents. See Qsilver's post here:

Only the vents under the seats will warm the rear passengers... unless you have the heated rear seats option ;)

It's a deliberate engineering decision. The HVAC system is designed so the rear passengers don't get too warm and comfy, lest their plump bulk linger unecessarily and cause an undesirable increase in fuel consumption and reduction in performance.
gotta keep dead carcasses chilled else they be raising a big stink, to thaw just close the center vents.

Damn I thought they were for hot air as well, I guess ill check mine tomorrow
