View Full Version : Possible Ballast Location...
I need your help guys, I have no idea where to mount my ballasts, but I have an idea. I'm thinking RIGHT behind the corner lights, between the fender and the hood arms. Like so...

Is this a good idea? What are some other suggestions. I've searched but only found 1 or 2 different setup pics.

one relitivly safe place would just inside of the open ends of the frame rails below the bumper shocks, and it's with in a foot or so of the lights
I'm having a little trouble imagining the position you're talking about. Something like this?

Anyone else run this set-up? I'd like a position many agree with. Plus I don't want to take the fenders off, as I have little time to do this and do not want to rush.

that's it, you only need to pull the bumper which takes me all of 5 minutes, unplug the markers and fogs, pop the bumper trim loose (you don't need to remove just pop it out enough to put a ratchet/wrench behind it) and take the 4 17mm nuts out, the bumper just pulls right off

Bumper is already off, thats my baby as she sits this instance. Thanks for the info though. I'll definitely post my writeup when I'm done. It's a joint EE/HID write up :)
What exactly are those areas used for winfred? Ventilation hopefully?
