folks, can someone confirm for me that e34 clutches is not afflicted by this "feature"?

I recently removed the clutch delay valve from my m3. That thing shouldn't be there; sucks. Just get under the car & have a look at the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder. If it is there, remove it & bleed the line.
The clutch action will be much improved without it.

martin, does your e34 have it? i tried to look around but couldn't see the hydraulic line.

The m3s that did come with it were like 96/97 and up, so I realllly doubt the 93 has it as it doesn't that "feature" was put into effect until a much later build date.

the 540 manuals have it(and maybe he 3.8 m5?)

I don't remember seeing it on my 525. It did not come in the conversion package on the 540 so I presume there is none. Reading the description it appears it is best removed if one is equipped originally.
