E34 3rd. brake light housing removal

folks, can anyone here give me some pointers how to remove the said housing (not just the bulb)? does it involved removing the rear parcel shelf too?

any pictures would be helpful as well.

from looking at the unit it is inbetween the boot liner plate and the parcel shelf, so i cant see any other way of getting at it other than taking out the parcel.
To get it out remove your C pillars, all the back seats, the little plugs, and it should come up and out towards you, not just straight up, dont force it.
