So - we set off last Thursday for Wangaratta, spent Friday at Winton Raceway, Saturday in the Victorian Alps through to Thredbo in the Snowy Mountains of NSW and then I had to make an early departure and missed the bit through Adaminaby back to Wodonga then home.
12 cars - an E28 M535i, 5 x E34 M5s, 6 x E34 540i/6 LEs. I from Hobart, 2 from the ACT, 5 from Sydney and the rest from Melbourne (2 of them with passengers). One of the M5s came complete with an E39 M5 V8 in it - easily the quickest car at the track.
Here's mine leading two of the V8s:

Us in a section of forest on Mt Buller that had been killed by a bushfire:

Some paddock ploughing with an M5 - my only spin of the day, which I did with another car 10' behind me:

I did 1950 kilometres of which 10% or so was on the track. I missed a big kangaroo by about 4' as he crossed from driver's side to passenger side in front of me - he was in a pack of 15+ that came at me from all directions up near Tom Groggin Station in the Snowys just after dusk. I had 115kg of pressure on the brake pedal at the time!
We had a brilliant group of guys and two women, fabulous cars, superb mostly deserted roads (I saw only one other car in one 75km stretch) and great driving conditions and a lot of fun.
It will happen again next year.
