Where can I find a good 89 E34 cluster?

Hey guys I am trying to find a grey backed cluster for an early 89 (11/88 build date) the one with the coding plug in the harness. I think mine is more than the capacitors and may be the LCD box or other things as well. Anyone know where I can get a complete cluster that is tested and working? I have also heard(on Brunos site) that later clusters can be used in the earlier cars anyone ever try it before? I have been watching ebay, checked with Vines, posted in the classifides, etc

and used the lcd box out of it and it solved my problem (intermittent heiroglyphics in the lcd display.) Try that. For the price I paid (I don't recall, but it wasn't much) it was worth a try. That way you can probably buy a later black cluster and not have to match your gray unit.
