Interior is...different. I like it though! Are those wheels staggered, or is it an optical illusion?

Very good chance the interior is stock. It might be individual, but in Europe two tone interiors on the 8s were fairly common. Dunno about Australia though.
It looks like the car was upgraded with all the appearance options of a CSI (also fairly common in Europe). Has the mirrors, bumpers, steering wheel etc. The interior probably was also part of the package.
Incidentally, the car is a dead ringer for a Euro 850CSI in Tobago Blue with the two tone interior that was imported to the US a few years ago. Only difference is that the CSI had M-Parallels. Jon remembers the car from Bimmerfest 2003 in Lime Rock.
It should also be noted that the car was definitly in a front end accident. The headlights and bumper are sooo far from matching the hood its not even funny. The 8 is notoriously hard to put back together after a front end crumpling.

Dude, i will take that A8 Quattro!. Did you see the condition the A8 is in compared to the 840?. Well used. slightly soiled compared to the prestine A8 in the pics!. Wish I were in NZ!. Stuck in a left hand-drive 3rd world country with two E34s and few roads to properly use.....
