i have a e34 525 whitch shunts when i get in third gear from cold this does,nt dissapear untill the car gets upto full temp and then it still as a slight miss also the car seems to over rev a lot:( :( i have checked the plugs and leads also i have done a compression testif any thing no. four cylinder was slightly down but not excessiveplease give me some advise.

What do you mean by "shunts" and "over rev"? What country's E34 do you have? Auto tranny or manual? If it over-revs (i.e., exceeds redline) by itself with a manual, you've got a slipping clutch. If it over-revs with an auto, you've got a slipping tranny.
