Some people here waited at best buy 3 days in advance before it came out. Too much time on their hands.

I went to Bestbuy to check out the PS3 demo. Graphic is great but not as good as I expect. The Wii seems to be more interesting...

First of all if you didn't pre-order months ago you either will get it in february/march or not at all.

If you do somehow get it. Be a nice guy and actually enjoy it. Alot of people have tried to get one.

The only reason they were selling for 3 grand and up is because they were not released in the US yet and the supply wasn't here.

They will sell for more, but not nearly that much... simple principle of supply and demand.

Looks like there getting between $8K to $20K for units that are “in hand”. Those figures were just pulled off ebay under the “ completed auctions” .

If I had not been ignorant to this PS3 thing, I would have pre-order a few and cashed in.

I did the same search and found something interesting: almost all of the high-selling ps3's were bought by people with 0 feedback and/or most of them said "unregistered user" (ie they're account was closed for not paying). So much for turning the big buck on that one.
