Some of you might have come across this video on Google, but I just wanted to share it with the rest of you just in case.
These boneheads are beating the crap out of this poor car and in the end it catches fire. My heart sank during the last minute or two of the video... then I wanted to pound the crap out of the driver... but oh well. R.I.P. to the 535i. :(

What a god-awful video, gives me a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach when I watch it, I actually become furious at that dumbass behind the wheel. The car should have exploded and taken him with it! I actually get depressed watching that car "die". Why do I feel this way about a bunch of metal and iron bolted together??

It seems that some of the nicest cars end up with the dumbest owners. This is a perfect case.

Any idea on how they managed to get the cat to light on fire like that? I have never seen anything like that happen except in a case where the car was dumping raw fuel into the exhaust (plug wires were crossed on ford scorpio) Even then we didn't manage to light the scoripo on fire!

Guys, it's just an e34, sorry, there are tons of them out there. Nothing rare. Cars get beat on, it happens.
As for the cat catching fire, I've seen it happen on a car that is running near redline for a period of time with a midly clogged cat and gets run through water a few times and stays at redline. The super cooling/heating of the cat causes it to light on fire.

My question is why was he continuing to run/drive the car, after it caught on fire. A few times he sat there with it in Neutral and revved that bad boy... Then threw grass into the engine... Did he just give up?

If it were any other car, it would have been hilarious. *sniff* Farewell, mighty e34.
