Can i tighten it?

I have noticed some play in my front end recently and it seems to be coming from the pitman arm(the link between the center link and the steering gearbox) the movement is where the arm is attached to the gearbox moreso than the balljoint. Is replacement of the pitman arm needed OR can i tighten the nut/bolt that secures the arm onto the box (even though it should be pressed on pretty tightly in the first place.)

they are not pressed on like american cars, it can be tightened
