sunroof problem...Help please

The other day i had my sunroof tilted up and when i closed it, the right hand rear of the lid would not go right down into the closed position.Although i can still use the sunroof tilted it continues to behave in this way and the lid wont slide back anymore.... any ideas ? My car is a 1991 BMW525i SE auto.

Sounds like the mechanism is operating fine but maybe one of the screws (2 torx screws per side I think) that hold the exterior roof panel to the mechanism might be loose. If so you'll have to adjust the roof panel height making sure the torx screws are snug.

Thanks, i have seen these torque screws. I will have a go at adjusting them..
