I just had my tranny taken out for inspection and we were surprised as hell to find out that the oil has turned into gel (burnt gel). Problem now is that this gunk has stuck unto the bolts in the tranny casing w/c means we are having a hard time loosing the bolts from the case to open up the tranny for further inspection. The mechanics doesnt want to force the bolts from loosening up in fear of it breaking or loosing thread.
Anyone had a similar case like this? If so was substance did you use to melt the gel? We cant possibly think of anything that could have been the cause of this that's why I'm asking for your help.
By the way, the tranny is a 5 speed manual Getrag from a 92 M50 520i.
