I was taking a picture of my car when this guy came flying through the camera shot - I live on 4 acres, I have no idea where he came from.
He was screaming "bakaw bakaw!"

I'd say he was a Turkey but they don't fly.

Wild turkeys do fly - they nest in trees.
can they sustain flight? say like a migratory bird ?Maybe its Mothman?

indeed they do. since they were reintroduced here in NH maybe 10 years ago they've done really well. there are two flocks, each about a dozen birds, that come through here almost every day. if i come upon them unexpectedly, they will fly well over 200 yards, and as far as i know they are capable of more (but probably not like ducks or geese).

my backyard is heavily wooded and guests always ask why they hear turkey noises in the trees and I tell them that they are up in the tree and they don't believe me.

theres always something loaded handy around here, id take a turkey with my glock 31 :D not sure how good the meat would be after the federal ashtray got done with it ;) ether of the looter shooters could do the trick but i think 3 1/2" 00 buck 12 gauge may be a tad overkill for bird duty, some fmj from an ak wouldn't mess em up too bad, theres usually a couple loaded clips in the safe (i guess it goes without saying a raid on my house while i am here wouldn't be a good idea)

shooting them with a rifle is like sticking your finger thru butter. unless it's a head shot or heart shot they just fly away and die somewhere.
Rifle bullet goes right thru them, then the feathers hold the blood in so no trail. How do I know? Did it twice.
Pistol would be just as bad.
Shotgun or don't bother shooting.

you just gotta use the right rifle, buzzards are about the same, i picked one out of a tree at around 110-120 yards with my 17hmr and a ballistic tip, he didn't make it far :D

I was one of those 6 turkeys!
We arrived to see this guy staring intently at us.
We took a vote to decide which one of us would peck out his eyes, his balls etc. but then suddenly he disappeared back into his house... so we left! :D

ak pistol he turns down normal barrels and rethreads them, no sbr required without a stock it's one of wills specials, he sells a **** load of them through atlantic, it's a blast to shoot off the sling in more ways then one, sorta like a flashbang with a handle, rail will be home to a red dot or a holosight, i think it'll make a good pig gun :D little ****er is handy and accurate from the hip i was wearing out a silhouette at around 10 yards the first time i shot it, not just punching holes but placing shots, and if i want/need a stock i still have my old stand by preban underfolder

about his stuff, I'd be better off trying fly it off as a pistol and rub the silhouette shooters set up in their face.
Just gotta lose the 30 round mag, and pick a 5 round to please the man.

will is good, he's got the only legal in ca fully dressed traditional ak complete with 30 round mag and pistol grip, still not sure how he pulled that off, said he submitted a sample and it won approval
