Checked the archives, didn't find anything.
This is probably not a BMW E34 specific issue, but my rear defroster isn't working. All fuses are okay, and I have no short.
Is this something that i can fix myself?
In general, the car doesn't defrost that well, but I'm mostly concerned about he the rear defrost right now.
Any ideas on how to fix, let me know. Thanks!

you checked the fuse under your rear seat right?

I thought I had checked all my fuses when my defroster decided to quit, but didn't check under the rear seat for about 6 months when I decided to clean around a bit in there and collect the loose change that always falls down there.
That's where I saw the blown fuse, replaced it and everything was A-OK.

Do you have a digital multimeter? Then take it and check if the defroster get's power.
Has been written so often, here my last one, drawing thanks to Bill R.

I had no idea there was a fuse under my rear seat. Are there fuses there for other stuff too?
I guess I'll do a search to se how to properly take out the seat and check it.

Sounds like that could be it. I can't get a fuse today, but I'll check it and let you know what happens.
