Sometimes networks go down. If it seems that it can't connect, you can always try say 20 minutes later.

Just a thought: Do you happen to be an Adelphia Cable customer in an area taken over by Comcast? Are you able to access some URLs/domains but not others? Just curious as it's happened to me in such an area and the ISP blamed my wireless router. It did work when I bypassed the router and went hardwired through the modem but then replacing the router with a new one only shifted the problem to other URLs/domains. For instance, I can go to ebay.com but not search.ebay.com. I've made sure I'm running the most current firmware and even adjusted the "MTU" size per the manufacturer's instructions to no avail. Weird, ain't it? I'm still working on it from my end, waiting for the ISP to own-up to the problem. A Google search for "Adelphia Comcast URL problems" seems to say I'm right in my suspicions.
