i saw one of those cars a couple years ago and the side of the car was so worn away you could see the window regulators, it's part of some driver training coarse on how to stop without brakes
THAT will buff right out :) What a sickening sound though... scraping :|

yea and they do it with a brand ****ing new car, all of the ones i've seen a fairly high model too not some shitty low end turd, i always wondered if they were straight off the line or if they were defective and unsellable or test mule's

There was a guy in a DANA jacket- so its definately an industry thing.

They used to have BMW Driver's ed things at Nurburgring (still do for all I know...)- one of the local BMW CCA members went about 15+ years ago and brought back some video- they were running brand new E34's (I think) into the guardrail in the "no brakes" exercise. The sound was brutal.

just watched the video- definitely looks like Nurburgring (the tower on the hill in the town of Nurburg, the track, etc).
