would be nice to see some dyno charts for all these turbos we've seen lately

Yea nice work nice.. the trouble is getting the power to the ground- it comes on so strong. I really like the idea of smooth delivery when you have a long motor... after all on the LHD there is room fot 2 snails, so why not?
The exhaust was novel. I thought it was great how they had heat shielding right across the firewall and a very well done suspension, it took a lot of throttle to enduce any real squat. The car had only a few rough edges apart (the rattley exhaust for example) from it being a tad OTT of course... NOT!

I guess thats really cool if driving under throttle in a straight line and or spinning in circles tickles your fancy.
Was cool though the first time he stepped on it. Juicy.

i didn't watch the whole thing, when was it missing? when he was accelerating or when it was at idle/coast?

That may have been the first instance where a movie clip on the internet was longer than 5 minutes and I actually watched the whole thing. Nice find:D

i thought he was gonna take it off that giant ramp/jump, lol
With the way I drive, it would be unbearable. First and second gear are there just for posterity!

not missing at all, once the turbo kicked ( much too crispy ) the clutch was slipping. If the tires were spinning than the car would have shown it. doing doughnuts didnt do it any justice.
I think he has the same prob as Jon, no clutch to hold the boost.

Sounds like its bogging under fueling.
Cool car none the less. ITBs on the m30 if no one noticed.

If i wanted a car with an inline 6 to sound like that i`d buy a holden with a 202 in it . Turbo was ok , just didnt like the exhaust .

i didn't watch the whole thing, when was it missing? when he was accelerating or when it was at idle/coast?I am sure that the M30 is very prone to temperature change in the head.
I have a pet theory that in many cases coolant temperature varies a little too much with some thermo fans (as in most cases they are full on or full off and when you have 2 or more they can cause large spikes in coolant temp that the thermostat may not deal with as effectively as it manages the stock cooling.
There was relatively no smoke from the tailpipes- I think it is more likely it had a lumpy cam, solid lifters and that the throttle bodies were yet to be setup quite right...

Because its ITBs its probably running Alpha-N based fueling, even though you don't see unburnt fuel billowing from teh pipe, the acceleration enrichment is VERY hard to tune, watch as he blips the throttle it bogs quite a decent amount and misses.

While you guys were diagnosing the misfire, it reminded me of the xke 12 cyl i was working on. Misfires, sinister hesitation on accel, pinging. Blah blah. Rid of pinging and the misfire is almost gone. WOOO WEEE!
Note to techs, stay away from the 71 and up XKE Jags. They are nothing but torture to your wrists back and face. Oh yeah dont forget your meat and potatoes.
