Does anyone have any idea on how to get the AC evaporator out in a RHD 535?
The pedal box is right in the way and I don't really feel like removing it too.
All that is left in the interior of my car is the seats, some of the hvac box and the pedal box. It's looking very bare.
TIA

If you find out - don't forget to let us know - mine's waiting to be done.

Maybe you ask on this UK board under E32 section, there are some people which own E34 too

I spoke to a specialist auto electrician/ac guys and he said that
- the coolant lines going into the heater core must be disconnected
- then the five bolts that mount the hvac box to the firewall have to be undone
- the hvac box will then be able to be moved just enough to get the evaporator clear of the pedal box
He also mentioned that the air recirculate flaps must be closed on the hvac box or they could get damaged.
Sounds like great fun...
Thanks for tip Shogun, there is a good source of RHD info there.

Yeesh. Is there any reason why it wouldn't be easier to pull the pedal box instead?

If I wanted to do the clutch master cyl then I would be happy to pull the pedal box, but I'd rather leave it alone. RHD cars have a funky linkage on the brake pedal as well and I don't want to play with it either.
