View Full Version : Vestigial nipples on my PCV plate?

I did the pcv plate / intake manifold gasket replacement to smooth out some idle problems and 1222 (o2 lamda control) bug and while doing so I noticed on the PCV plate (rear of intake manifold) there are 2 nipples of equal size (roughly 1/8 inch diam.) - I know one is a vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator but what's the other one for? I just plugged it up for now but it MUST be there for a reason.

Same thing happened to me, I just plugged it up with some RTV. Not sure what its for...

my original had a rubber plug on the extra port.

My Car has hose conected to it, see the pic. Some cars have it plugged. I have no idea what it is for. Would like to know myself.

Yeah I don't have that extra wire running down the across the center of the engine.
