Hi Folks,
Following my broken spring I took the chance to lower the car. I bought Eibach Pro springs which lower a regular E34 by 50mm. When it was in the garage they advised I needed 2 new rear dampers, which I kinda expected... hurt the wallet a bit though ! So now I have Bilstein dampers all round as I already had them on the front.
Took a quick pic last night with camera fone , will get better pics when Ive cleaned the car !

The ride is quite a lot firmer now, maybe a little too firm but theres not much I can do about it now lol. The ride does get much better with speed.
The handling is very nice so far, its so flat on corners and gives you lots of confidence. The front end turn in feels much sharper now... I used to feel the weight of the engine up front but now its much keener to change direction.
Oh and as a nice surprise the famous 55-65mph shimmy is greatly reduced, almost gone really. The knackered rear dampers must have been contributing to it.
