Is the M/A automatic transmission switch lighted? If so, the bulb in mine is burned out.
It looks as if the transmission switch just pops out like the sunroof switch. If so, I can just resolder a small 12 volt bulb in to repair. TIA on anyones's thoughts.

I don't believe mine has ever been lighted, but that doesn't necessarily prove anything. I think the switches are interchangeable, so you could try the sunroof switch and see if it lights up in the transmission switch location.

Did the M/A switch just popped out? Are the taps on the sides? or on the ends?. I'll need to fix mine. TIA.

i used to have a picture of the insides of the a/m switch on my website, however, my school wiped my webspace without any prior warning a little while ago. don't bother with bulbs, its a tiny little led inside of it. i would doubt that radio shack's multipack of leds has one that small in there.

HA, I had just asked Snakeyes the other day when we were cruise'n around if the switch was lighted.
anyone know a easy way to clean them? mine is all gummed up from the previous owner, was thinking of taking it out and giving it a alcohol or electric contact cleaner bath with a squiert gun to clean it out.

The bulb is amber so hit a hobby store and pick up some Tamiya clear orange X-26. I use these T1 50 mA rice grain bulbs. You need to trim the pigtail a bit but prefit first. Once it is soldered in give it a coat of amber paint.
I have replaced the SEM, sunroof, memory seat switch, headlamp, fog lamp, rear door window, HVAC control, seat heat, and lumbar switch with these. The colour is the same as the headlamp and foglamp switch.... slightly off from the cluster/dash lights. But I think it is supposed to be. The closer you want it to cluster lighting the more coats you need to add to the bulb.
The only LED I have found in the car is in the memory seat switch (there are two bulbs in there).

fixed it. On this situation I use a little red colored 12 volt bulb from radio shack. Thanks for the advice.
