Local pickup is best(I'm in the Northwest), but credible and reliable online companies will be just fine. Whos got the best deal that meets these criteria from your experiences...?

I bought mine from
http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com. They sell the Meguiars G100, which is simply a rebadged PC 7424, they are exactly the same, except the G100 comes with a longer warranty from what I understand

autopia.com
they have a kit with 3 types of pad, backing plate, counterweight, and the stock 7424 pad. I am very satisfied with the service from autopia.

I bought mine from http://www.coastaltool.com/main.htm
They were the cheapest at the time. I'm not sure about now though. (bought it almost 2 years ago).

Interesting, I read their little blurb... So you guys think this is a better unit than the 7424?

Bummer, I tested it before I posted and it worked fine, but since then they've closed the site down for Christmas. Oh well.

Seriously though, is it?

I think so... I don't own either one of them but when they first started to sell the porter cable one... I tried up and down to search for similar unit but the backing pad is ALWAYS different... that rubber disc. This is why I never bought a unit.
Now that I see the new version... I like it even better... cheaper and it has everything you need... you don't need to buy all the counterweights, and accessories...
You can always return it to Griot if you are not happy. This is a no brainer to test their product. I probably am going to buy one soon too.

I detail for a living and I must say that Dewalt makes a good polisher as well. good product that I have used every day for over 6 years and the only thing that has given me any trouble is the cord which I just replaced a couple months ago.
Not saying the Portal Cable is bad, just throwing that tit bit of info out there. :D
Happy detailing to alll!!!
