had been receiving the check control MSG at irregular intervals for a few months, removed ad cleaned the module with no result. would never give an error code.
Replaced the battery last month and have not seen the problem MSG again.
Is this real or a coincidence?

my Touring has an 80 amp alternator....requires a 140 amp, so after running all the lights and power accesories I get this message...must have something to do with low volts or something.

Mine only does the code when it gets colder and only when I shut the car off. Also I have the added bonus of having to lock the car 2 times when I get the code. Have tried all the fixes and was same with new battery that I pre charged.
put it this way, I dont think even Shogun OR Javier found the fix...I vote coincidence for sure.

The search function is a good thing. I've got this problem to, and from what I see here, I shouldn't be worried about it?
