Someone at another forum mentioned about driving shoes, so I posted mine. Guess I will bring the subject here.

I know Fila does make shoes for Ducati & Ferrari, but I do not recall BMW has on official driving shoes.

Anyone knows if there's any shoes make for BMW drivers by BMW?

Here is my favorite (when driving my 540i, 328Ci, 360 etc):

It would make this thread fun if you can post yours. :)

Here's my favorites.

They are off the shelf Rockports with modified SAS self leveling custom orthodics. :D

They are also my work shoes, play shoes, and Sunday-go-to-meeting shoes :p

MY 4 year old has shoes with Velcro like that. He's working on learning to tie real shoes.

Usually "driving" shoes have a round heel (rather than a squared off one like regular shoes) for better comfort and so you can more easily roll your foot from the brake to the gas.

"Racing" shoes are similar, but with a thinner sole and nomex.

bought 'em from a buddy who raced SCCA when he let me use his Formula Ford for a Solo 1 at Roebling Road...plan to use 'em this fall at VIR for Driver's School (in the 318iS :( )

Enjoy!

Piloti has great driving shoes and they can be worn walking. They give a very good feel of the brakes clutch and gas pedal.

Not to mention the most play Jimmy has ever gotten with us . . .

Wrestling shoes. I have several pairs just because I like them, and they are remarkably similar to high-ankled driving shoes. They start at around $30 a pair and you can get really techy ones for $100.

They are probably less stiff, but they are tight as a glove and light as a feather (the soles are plenty stiff). Probably not fireproof though like a good pair of driving shoes. YMMV!
