Here we have the feed on the outside (shot taken from the center, under the fuel tank looking toward the rear bumper cover) You can just see the weld line on the exhaust from this shot.

And another from the point where it enters the 'collector' for the right hand pair of tips. (Note the angle the pipe enters and that the shot is taken looking back in the direction of exiting exhaust gasses..................well 'some' exhaust gasses)

I would be interested to hear opinions and get some feedback on this set-up, as the next modification will be an ESS Supercharger and I would like to get the exhaust sorted out now before I fit it up
I will try and get some sound clips to post so that everyone can hear what it sounds like at different levels of throttle, not to mention I would like to hear what it sounds like from outside. From inside with the roof and drivers window (RHD) open it sounds great until you really open it up, then it is really really loud but not in a rumble/roar kind of way, it has a 'cracking' sound that until I hear it from outside I am not so sure that I like. Seems like there is a great deal of back pressure being caused by the crossover/feed pipe. I would be interested to hear what any of the exhaust guru's would suggest here, I would like to keep the quad tips (I think) only because it would be easier than obtaining another good condition rear bumper and fitting it to delete the crossover pipe and second pair of tips (That and I couldn't be bothered)
I think that the exhaust can would naturally allow crossover between the two pipes, but without knowing what it's internal construction is I don't know. It has no markings on it and I think it may well be a custom shop made exhaust can. The previous owner did say to me in passing that the system cost him AUS$1100.00 two years ago and it was the only modification that he made. I haven't be able to get in contact with him to find out any more about where he had it fitted so that I could go and talk to the shop that did the work to find out some information.
So for everyone who has wondered, that is how it has been done.
For my money, yes it does look good but is it too over the top for a sleeper? I'm not sure, it hints at something a little 'special' without the ///M badge. I still think the best thing would be a modified ///M5 badge that read ///M? but I am still looking through all the badge combinations to try and cut and shut a few badges to make the question mark......hehehe could be fun.
