so the cover for the airbag is a little warped from the sun.

180 and 150 from the dealer and on realoem seems freakin' excessive...

why the hell is it so much?

i have yet to call bavarian auto recycling cause i'm at school, but does anybody know where to find a reasonably priced new one?

Mine is exactly the same!! Hadn't ever seen another e34 with a warped pass air bag cover. I haven't looked for any replacements, but I'd be interested in one if the price was right!

according to bavarian auto recycling, it's only available with the entire dash. which is uber-lame because the rest of my dash is fine.

freakin' outrageous, though, huh?

anybody know if i find one at a scrapper (yeah right), can i just pull off the old one without the bag blowing in my face?

MAN I NEED ONE TOO, weird i was just about to ask the same question...i'll let you guys know how much the dealer wants it at my price...i get a decent discount considering the Volvo dealer i work for just bought BMW...

At tonight's meet somebody offered the idea of doing liquid JB Weld on the cover...not too sure about that.

lol...um....JB Weld an air bag cover that is supposed to easily pop off?......Sounds safe

LOL that's what I said. His point was that he wouldn't want a 10 year-old airbag in his face anyways.

180 was the dealer's wholesale price, dunno if you can get a better one... (i like to get in good with the parts department whenever i get a new car)
