After warmup and with fresh 10-40 dino oil and a new pressure sensor, the low oil pressure light and readout comes on when slowing to a stop at idle. Rev the engine and/or pull away from the stop, and the low oil pressure indications go away. The check valve in the oil filter housing is OK.
Since this happened after warmup with 10-40 oil, what is the likelihood that changing to 20-50 oil will cure the low oil pressure indications?

You won't get bad pressure with 10W-40 even if the engine is hot. But they do prefer 20W-50, unless the oil pump has lost its pumping pressure or there is a blocked passage somwhere.
