Hope you guys had a good xmas and New year.
On my way to my hoilday spot I had to go up a very steap hill, the car was going great, when I got to the steapest part a warning light came on flashing then stayed on for 10 secs then went out ,same on the way back it was a

The only thing I can think of is my brake fluid is just under half way.

Well, there is a sign besides or inside each warning light and you should have seen where it was.
Then you can have a quick look in the owners manual to get more info.
Could be many things
-low engine oil
-low fuel
-coolant temp maybe
I can tell you, that I would have immediately stopped and checked what that warning is.

Oil fine
fuel fine
temp fine
It came and went so quick at the steepest part of the hill?
I have 3 lights in my car in order (p) (!) (ABS)
And no manual.

If you drive uphill very steep, for example the oil in the oil sump moves to another level and maybe the sensor was not covered completely. That is why BMW recommends to have more oil inside in hilly areas, that means it should be in the uppler quarter between minimum and maximum.
Same is with the fuel tank. If the car is not level, the fuel is in the lowest section and maybe the fuel level sensor initiated the alarm.
And no manual: just download it, it is online here, just use the search engine.
